Music has always been an important part of church ministry. Over the years we believe music has been slowly moving in a direction that is not consistent with what the Scriptures tell us it should be. Berean Baptist Church has taken a bold and unusual step to correct this by producing Christian CDs in our own local church.
“Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein.” – Jeremiah 6:16
In 2010 Berean Baptist Church voted to put in place a new ministry called “Berean Sacred Music”. Since that time, Berean Sacred Music has produced a number of God-honoring CDs and we will continue this work as the Lord enables us.
The Lord has raised up Chris Shafer to spearhead this important ministry. Chris and his wife Carol have been busy recording, doing concerts in local churches in New England and providing music for services at our church. Our CD’s have been spreading to every corner of the United States and even been played on Christian radio. We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing!
Our goal is to lift up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ through Godly music and to provide God’s people with an alternative that truly honors Him.
